Bubble Mania

I was hired at Storm8 to produce levels for Bubble Mania, which I did for about 7 months. During that time, I produced 90 levels for the game, and was part of an extensive re-tuning of the game’s difficulty, covering all levels that had been released up to that point.

Some examples of levels I created are to the right. Click on any image to see a full-sized version.

An example of one of my levels, and one of my favorites. To clear the board, the player has to build bridges between the different segments, so that they don't drop the lightning bubbles, which they need to destroy the stones on the board.

A level from "Shear Insanity." The player loses outright if they just pop the poison bubbles. Instead they need to get to the "switch" bubble to turn on the light bulbs connecting the poison to plus bubbles.

A level from "Ram's Stone." The player loses if the spiders reach the babies, so they have to drop them quickly.

A level from "Abduction Junction." The star bubbles at the top must be popped with specific colors to drop the babies at the top of the board. Otherwise the player will lose outright!
